The school attendance boundaries for Hanover
High School and Oak Knoll Middle School shall include all the
streets and neighborhoods within the area described below:
Beginning at the intersection of
Interstate 95 and East Patrick Henry Road (Route 54) the boundary shall proceed
north to Hickory Hill Road and run south on Hickory Hill Road to Wickham Drive
(Residents north of Hickory Hill Road will attend Patrick Henry High and
Liberty Middle, residents south of Hickory Hill road will attend Hanover High
and Oak Knoll Middle). At the intersection of Hickory Hill Road and Wickham Drive, the line shall continue
east to intersect with the Pamunkey
River and the King
William County Line. The boundary shall follow the Pamunkey River
to its intersection with Mechanicsville Turnpike (Route 360). The line shall
turn west following Mechanicsville Turnpike (Route 360) to the Pebble Creek,
just west of Westhaven Drive. (Residents addressed to the north side of
Mechanicsville Turnpike will attend Hanover High and Oak Knoll Middle.) The
boundary line shall follow the Pebble Creek north to the confluence with the
Beaverdam Creek. The boundary line shall follow the Beaverdam Creek north/northeast
circumventing the Cherrydale Subdivision. At the northeastern most corner of
the Cherrydale Subdivision, the boundary line shall turn to the west following
the property line circumventing Cherrydale, then turning north following the
property line around Cherrydale West and dividing the Laurel Meadows and
Sherrington Subdivisions to intersect with Pole Green Road at Rural Point Road
(All Residents living east of the boundary line shall attend Hanover High
and Oak Knoll Middle). The boundary line shall turn west at the
intersection of Pole Green and Rural Point Roads following Pole Green Road to Verdi Lane. The boundary line shall turn
to the north/northeast following Verdi Lane to the Strawhorn Creek (Residents
addressed to the north side of Pole Green Road from Rural Point Road to Verde
Lane will attend Hanover High and Oak Knoll Middle. Residents addressed to
Verde Lane will attend Atlee High and Chickahominy Middle). The boundary
line shall turn west following the Strawhorn Creek to the southwestern most
corner of the Robin Ridge subdivision, turn north and follow the property
lines dividing Robin
Ridge and Burkwood Club Drive
to intersect with Studley Road.
The boundary line shall turn west following Studley Road to Burkwood Club
Drive, then cross Studley Road at Burkwood Club Drive and proceed between
Swannanoa Estates and Berkley Forest Subdivisions following the property line
and intersecting with the Opossum Creek. The boundary line shall follow the
Opossum Creek to the confluence with the Totopotomoy Creek then the boundary
line shall turn west following the Totopotomoy Creek to Chamberlayne Road (Route 301). The
boundary line shall turn north following Chamberlayne Road to the Chamberlayne/Rural Point/New Ashcake Road
intersection. The line shall turn north/northwest following New Ashcake Road to
Sliding Hill Road (Residents addressed to the southwest side of New Ashcake
Road will attend Atlee High and Chickahominy Middle. Residents addressed to the
northwest side of New Ashcake Road will attend Hanover High and Oak Knoll
Middle). The line shall continue northeast on Sliding Hill Road to the
intersections of Mount Hermon Road, Peaks Road, Ashcake Road and Sliding Hill
Road. The line shall continue northwest on Ashcake Road to Interstate 95 (Residents
addressed to Ashcake Road
will attend Atlee High and Chickahominy Middle). The boundary line shall
follow Interstate 95 North to intersect with E Patrick Henry Road (Route 54) and
conclude the boundary area.

some instances, residents living along district boundary lines may be required
to attend a particular school due to the limitations of the transportation
system.
