Our school district is committed
to maintaining a safe educational environment for our students. This
commitment includes not
only safety within our buildings, but also student safety and security
when on the Internet and using interactive technologies. Technology
provides valuable educational and informational tools, but it can be
misused or dangerous in certain circumstances.
Blackboard will be used as a vehicle for integrating Internet Safety
throughout the curriculum and for educator training. The purpose of the
site is to provide information and resources to assist students,
parents, and teachers in understanding the importance of being safe on
the Internet.
Hanover is using
Virginia is the first state to mandate Internet Safety integration
