Obtaining a Teaching License
In order to be hired as a teacher in Hanover County Public Schools,
candidates must hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License in the
appropriate teaching area. The following links are provided to assist
individuals with licensure questions regarding how to obtain a Virginia Teaching
License.
Note: Hanover County Public Schools is fortunate to
have numerous applicants for a limited amount of teaching positions, especially
in certain grades or subjects. Therefore, the more preparation a
candidate has completed for full licensure (and/or successful field or working
experience), the greater their chances of securing a teaching position.
