Important Message: Due to HVAC
replacement in the central office boardrooms, the July and August meetings of
the Hanover County School Board will be held in the Board of Supervisors'
meeting rooms at the County complex on July 8 and August 19, respectively. The
Board will meet in closed session at 6:00 p.m. and return to the public session
at 7:30 p.m.
Tdap Vaccine Required for Rising 6th Graders
All students entering sixth grade after July 1, 2006, are required by law to
have tetanus, diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) booster dose of vaccine if at
least five years have passed since the last dose of tetanus-containing
vaccine was administered. The school must have documentation of this
vaccination by the start of the 2008-09 school year in order for your child
to attend classes on the first day of school. For more information

Cards for Senior Citizens
Residents of
HanoverCounty who are 62 years
old or older are eligible to apply for a Gold Card (senior citizen pass).
Retired employees who are age 55 or older are also eligible. Gold Cards
provide free admission to many public school activities on Hanover campuses including sports events
and cultural arts programs. For information and an application, you may
